ByteDump does NOT collect, transmit, or store any user data.

- ✕ No personal information collection
- ✕ No internet connectivity
- ✕ No third-party services or SDKs
How ByteDump Works
ByteDump is a completely offline file encryption tool that:
- ✓ Only accesses files you explicitly select through file dialogs
- ✓ Performs all encryption/decryption locally on your device
- ✓ Never transmits any data over the network
- ✓ Never stores data outside of the files you choose to save
Permissions
ByteDump only requests permission to:
- Read and write user-selected files: Required to encrypt and decrypt files you choose
The app is sandboxed and cannot access any files outside of those you explicitly select.
Your Data Security
All encryption happens locally on your Mac:
- Files are encrypted using AES-256-GCM
- Passwords are never stored or transmitted
- Encrypted files remain on your device
- No cloud storage or remote servers are used
Third-Party Services
ByteDump does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.
Children's Privacy
ByteDump does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
